Twitter.

Koren signed me up for facebook when she was in college. took me a while to get the gist of it. now there are days I am an impulsive poster. god help my facebook friends when I see a cool old barn on go on a vacation. then Katie got me on instagram and pinterest, which I barely use. don't even know the passwords. Koren told me I should follow Katie on twitter. so, I signed myself up....my children are very clever. I want to see all their quips! this is my last day of anniversary vacation....after the kids left for school, went back to bed with Kevin and slept the rainy morning away. have a roast in the crockpot and potatoes and carrots going so we can have a nice lunch before he goes to work. folded a mountain of laundry and got the suitcase unpacked. we only recently started doing anniversary weekends....3 or 4 years ago. especially working opposite shifts, I think it has brought us much closer. made us more adventurous. reminds us of why we fell in love in the first place all those years ago. I always remember doing anniversary dates....supper and a movie. later on, we did all day dates while the kids were in school....we've ate at fancy steakhouses, went to The Bridges of Madison County, all kinds of fun stuff. But spending whole nights alone together, priceless. I used to think good parents didn't leave their kids overnight unless it was work or hospital stays. now I know better. I've come a long way from the 20 year old who couldn't take a shower unless her baby was out like a light...
