puppies
after several days of not seeing Sophie, she surfaced today. Katie saw her squishing out under the pen gate, so went in looking for puppies. she has 6 black & white spotted ones in the doghouse. Katie has christened the first one Grunt because it sounds like a pig. they are good sized puppies. we don't have a lot of luck with puppies around here...
thursday
back to work....Kate's new MP whatever came today, Kevin hid it from her, there was some drama. good grief. not sure who the child is here sometimes....Morgan came over to see what chores she'll be doing Sunday. getting ready for our big weekend...packing some, labeled pom poms, found outfit & hair bow, tights, hairspray, hair stuff, glitter....packed camera charger, printed out all pertinant facebook messages, packed tickets, parking pass, schedule, swimwear in case of a hot tub or we're in the mood to swim...a book for Koren to read...details, details. Kevin asked if I'd took tomorrow off to get ready...sadly, no. that would've been the ticket! especially since she has plans to go to a dance in Cainsville with a group of friends Friday nite & I have been designated as the driver...sure she'll want to bounce right up & go Saturday morning!
need to get hold of KJ & see if he is coming home or wants picked up at college. and have to set a time to get Vivian. whew.

Happy Anniversary
28 years ago today, on a Wednesday, we married at Mercer United Methodist Church. On our 28th anniversary (yep, 28 years later, and a Wednesday) we are living in Mercer. we actually have been living here since 1995, but it just seemed worthy of note.
I took Katie to school early for prayer at the flagpole, I had forgotten, so she was fashionably late & missed the hot cocoa portion. Kevin & I hung out here a while, then went to Chillicothe to Lowe's, had lunch at Washington Street Food & Drink, then went shopping at Orshelins where he got a new coat & I got Muck boots!
we took a nap, now I'm making supper & waiting for The Middle to come on. It's the new season!

work...laundry...cleaned turtle tank...did chores...ordered flea stuff on line...Koren called...Corey cancelled on us, now Vivian is our guest for the weekend...Katie has big plans for a dance at Cainsville Friday nite...cleaned out cooler...have found Chiefs tickets & hotel reservation...read the official can't bring this shit website for Arrowhead Stadium...mailed in loan papers to college...watched new episodes of Glee & Raising Hope. what a day!

surely surely surely there is nothing else I can screw up for my son.....
Kevin asked him to go talk to financial aid to see why we owed so much $....
we forgot to check 'accept' the loans on catpaws....
now we have a message thanking us for accepting loans, and reminding us we had to reapply....omg!
so filled out, printed out, signed, sealed, & stamped.
what next?
(and how did we successfully get him into college as inept as I am?)

get Koren thru grad school....
put away about $100,000 to get Katie thru college....

meandering thoughts...
Katie says this is her last year of dance...she wants to do pageants next year. have been googling Missouri pageants, lots in KC. entry fees not too bad, the dresses would be the $$$. I'm thinking that after trying pageants, we might try modeling. and when she goes to college....will probably be entering the dogs in dog shows where the owner runs around in a suit & heels beside the dogs when they do the obstacle course...

kevin took katie to Chiefs practice while I was at work...2 of the cheerleaders were there. he also went to Walmart & bought tons of stuff for her impending model of the solar system! I truly appreciate him!
friday
bubba came home! he had josh, dakotah, & corey over. katie had kayla & breanna, mercer pizza plus for supper, then took the girls to the late nite movie at trenton. the paper said Glee3D! we were excited! then they decided NO! Shark Night3D! we get to trenton, did a quick photo shoot @ hyvee, get to the theater....NEITHER OF THESE MOVIES! so they chose ABDUCTION! and they seemed to have fun! got home midniteish....they selected a stack of scary movies to watch...I went to bed!
today I have to work. katie has chiefs practice with actual KC Chief Cheerleaders.

two pounds of bacon, a large four-meat pizza, four fried chicken breasts, two drinks each of Mountain Dew, Pepsi, root beer and sweet tea, two pints of ice cream, five chicken fried steaks, two hamburgers with bacon, fries and a dozen garlic bread sticks with marinara on the side.

A mother passing by her daughter's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then she saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, "Mom." With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands: Dear Mom: It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new boyfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and you. I've been finding real passion with Ahmed and he is so nice-even with all his piercings, tattoos, beard, and his motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the passion Mom, I'm pregnant and Ahmed said that we will be very happy. He already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams too.
