I'm just your average grandma who believes in Bigfoot and ghosts and is fascinated by serial killers....

tonite I found Katie's SS card and took all the stuff off her walls. and threw other stuff in the box that I thought she needed.
she moved out a year ago, but this still feels sad. she is going places. places without us. as she should. I am proud. and a bit lonely. she told me about Finsta. I didn't know there was such a thing. we can't follow her there. she needs a parent free zone to be herself. I get it. I wasn't close to my parents. she is an adult. even though in my heart she'll always be our lil' Boo.

Down Syndrome Dolls...they are adorable. $89-$99. I want one.
Starfish Education CentreLike Page 14 hrs ·
They’ve LANDED! ⭐️🐠 Our gorgeous dolls with Down Syndrome now have girls with an option of either short or LONG hair. You asked. We listened. Spent a fortune. Now delivered. These are EXCLUSIVE to us, our little store in Kiama - STARFISH - no one else has the long hair version. ⭐️🐠 WHY do this? You may know we have stocked our much loved dolls with Down Syndrome (both girls & boys, anatomically correct and both blonde & brunette). All had short hair. They have been in much demand, in fact our post on Facebook went viral. Some were ordered by preschools and schools wanting to provide an INCLUSIVE environment, some by families who have a loved one with Down Syndrome, some wanted one as a way to remember a much loved child with Down syndrome who passed away, some were wanting a doll who looked as close as possible to their child with Down Syndrome - including long hair. So many people desperately wanting one of our dolls, every story unique and touching. I can’t tell you how many emails and messages we got asking if we could get dolls with longer hair. We also have been asked if we can get dolls with darker skin. Problem is, to do a special request I have to order a huge amount (it is thousands of dollars for each one) and it’s beyond a little business like mine to do all the options in one go. One day when I have enough money I’ll try and do these too, as I think everyone should be able to have a doll that looks just like them. ⭐️🐠 HOW TO PURCHASE ⭐️ In Australia - in store on online. I’ll put the link to them all here 👇 https://starfisheducation.com.au/…/cat-in/all/searc…/product ⭐️ Overseas - YES we can send overseas. We already do this, and it’s easy. If you’re ordering from overseas you need to send us an email to starfisheducationcentre@yahoo.com.au ⭐️🐠❤️⭐️🐠❤️⭐️🐠❤️ Please please please share this post to help let everyone know that you can now get these adorable girl dolls with Down Syndrome with long hair. Spread the word lovely folk - we’d be so very grateful 🙏🙏🙏 Kirstie
This adorable anatomically correct female doll has Down Syndrome facial features. She is 40cm, has short brown hair, comes dressed in a cute outfit and has a beautiful smile. We love her. The baby doll with down syndrome is from the Belonil doll range – so you know you’re getting quality. Her legs and arms move, as does her head. What a wonderful doll for children with Down Syndrome to relate to, and also for other children to play with too. Let’s break those barriers further!

Farrar School House
Farrar Schoolhouse History In 1919, C.G. Geddes agreed to donate 6 acres of his farm to merge the area’s one-oom country schoolhouses. The school boards voted and created the Washington Township Consolidated School District. The cornerstone inscribed with the year 1921 was set and the dedication ceremony commenced on April 1 1922. The schoolhouse filled with citizens from miles around. An orchestra played on stage in the auditorium as a banquet served the hundreds in attendance. Not all citizens were behind the new building with its $100,000 price tag. One disgruntled citizen refused to attend the celebration calling it a “monument to the arrogance and vanity of the school board,” with its boiler School busheating, electric lights, and indoor bathroom facilities. On May 3 2002, once again, the band played, a banquet served the hundreds in attendance and sadly, the 80-year-old schoolhouse closed its doors for the last time. The old school sat empty until December of 2006 when Jim and Nancy Oliver purchased the building. It became their home with hopes of slowly restoring the school to its original appearance and layout. For more information and details on how you too can experience a piece of history please visit the schools website at www.hauntingatfarrar.com Content copyright 2010. Farrar Restoration Project. Synergy Paranormal

Farrar was our first stop on the Synergy Paranormal Iowa road trip.971422 415287188582199 1492819290 n 300x225 A Haunting At Farrar The Farrar Schoolhouse in Farrar Iowa is a rapidly growing hotspot for paranormal activity. It has been seen on My Ghost Story on A&E Bio channel and mentioned in numerous local newspaper articles. The school has been visited by many well-known paranormal investigators, Johnny Houser, Brad and Berry Klinge and Christopher Boothe to name only a few. The school is a 17,000 square foot, three story brick building. It was built on 6 acres of land donated by a town elder in 1919 for the purpose of building a school. The cold brick looks a little out of place in the tiny town of Farrar, population 30. It now stands seemingly massive and alone, across the street from the 150 year old town cemetery. The school opened its doors in 1922. The three story brick structure, equipped with boiler heating, electric lights, and indoor bathroom facilities made it a rare and magnificent building for the area. The students from 7 rural one-room schools were the new occupants. Some of the old schools were actually moved onto the property while the school was still being built. The Farrar School soon became the social hub of activity for a number of small towns in the area. The gymnasium in the basement even hosted an event starring the Harlem Globetrotters at one point in time according to townspeople. The school housed grades k-12 for a number of years but eventually dwindled to elementary school status. It closed its doors for good in 2002. Five years later it was purchased by the current owners who hope to restore it to its original layout. Rumors of a haunting are not new to the school. Town folklore suggests it isn’t wise to look up at the third floor when you pass by the school at night. Purported paranormal activity includes, doors slamming, hearing footsteps in the halls, whispering voices, full body apparitions, and an instance of a visitor being shoved down. One lady also reports being choked on the third floor. The school is unusually quiet. There is a profound stillness that is neither peaceful nor worrisome; it’s just extremely noticeable. I was struck by that a few times during our overnight stay at the school. There are chalkboards in many rooms now filled with the names and signatures of the many paranormal investigations teams who have visited over the past few years. Some rooms still have desks and remnants of classroom activities in them. Others are empty. There are small indentations at the foot of the stairs where millions of little feet have stopped to turn the corner there. We had a number of experiences at the school, including at least two class A EVPs that I heard in real time and some KII activity that suggested communication with a little girl named Alice. Once we’ve sorted through the evidence, I will post some of the highlights. It was an amazing investigation and I highly recommend putting it on your list!
I usually do the research AFTER I do an investigation. I guess no preconceived notions?
found this....and spoiler alert....Tracy & I sat in the Principal's Chair.

I went to school here in the 80’s, I lived less than 2 miles away and played with the janitors’ kids on the weekends. I’ve witnessed no paranormal activities while attending school here.
anonymous | April 20, 2014 at 5:42 am REPLY ↓ I regularly drove a truck by the school house while making deliveries to Ames from the Altoona area. I was new to the area and I was always reminded by locals to watch for ghosts when going through Farrar. Especially on Saturdays. All though I was always on guard, I observed no paranormal activity. I was in the area from the fall of 1973 to the fall of 1976.l
ittlebug | April 22, 2014 at 12:21 pm REPLY ↓ I went to school there in the 1960’s. I clearly remember the fourth grade classroom on the second floor, watching the more-talented-than-me girls turning cartwheels on the lawn, and playing baseball on the ball diamond. It was my first experience playing baseball. I think my teacher’s name was Mrs. Brown and she was a bit severe. I think she lived in Ames. I also seem to remember a bathroom on the top floor (????) that I was always afraid to go to. But I don’t remember WHY I was afraid to go up there. Strange.
em | May 24, 2014 at 11:03 am REPLY ↓ I’ve been up to the school to take pictures of it to show my friend. In one of them u can clearly see a face in the bottom left corner.
Jolene | January 8, 2015 at 1:02 pm REPLY ↓ We had video of a white figure running past our dvr camera ripping it off the spot we had it fastened to and throwing it to the middle of the library. The owners dog boo does not go into the males bathroom its just an eerie felling in that bathroom, we have caught evps, heard lockers open and close, shadow figure of a man. And even parital possession.
Candyman | April 13, 2016 at 9:25 pm REPLY ↓ I was with a group investigating there one night a few years ago. I went off on my own for a while. I looked into one of the class rooms on the second floor and definitely heard breathing. I went in, but no one was there. Later, the psychic that headed the investigation confirmed that they call that room ‘the breathing room.’ A little later, another investigator and I were on the 3rd floor, alone, no electricity on that floor then, and heard the rustling of pants, as you hear when you walk and your pant legs rub together, and heard the jingling of keys. The psychic told us later that the old janitor haunts the place, as he did some bad things to some of the kids while he worked there and his spirit seems to be trapped there.
Ryan | September 26, 2017 at 8:41 pm REPLY ↓ I’ve been to this school multiple times with an investigative group and there is no doubt about it, this place is haunted. Let’s start at the bottom floor. Although I have not seen or heard anything in the gym, through a doorway leads you to the boiler room. In this room I have had the most activity any time I’m there. At the far end of the boiler room there’s a hallway that leads to a door to go outside. It is in this hallway where I was touched, presumably by the old janitor. Story goes that the janitor is one of the staff members that would innoproperiately touch the students. In this same hallway, I was alone but there was a group of people in the main boiler room. I saw a rock fly from behind me in the hallway and someone in the group was hit by this rock. (No, I did not throw a rock at an innocent bystander) I have also heard loud moans from the main boiler room. Moving up a floor is where the auditorium is. It is believed that most of the children are in this room. I have placed a deflated ball and marked its spot on the floor and left it alone for about an hour, when I came back to the auditorium the ball had moved from the marked location about 1 foot away. Also it was in this room that I sat on the steps to the stage and let a wind up singing doll play out and moved it around and knocked it over to make sure that it wouldn’t just start playing music. I sat the doll, without winding it up again, on the stage next to me and after a little while something knocked it over towards me and it started playing music for about 2 minutes. Mind you, it wasn’t wound up. Many people have heard children’s laughter in the auditorium and little kids have been known to have complete conversations with what appears to be no one. If you go up one more floor you’ll see the steps to the principals office. It is on those steps that many people have seen a tall, dark figure standing. Watching. This same figure has been seen walking down the hallway with the sound of footsteps. The principal was also involved with innapropriately touching the students. If you go into his office you’ll see a door to your left that leads to a little storage space, a little hall with shelves. In this room I have been touched and have heard the storage room door shut by itself. If you sit in his chair, he’ll get a little worked up. I’ve heard angry moans and almost yells when people are seated in his chair. If anyone gets the chance to spend a night in this school, do it but make sure to bring a camera or recording device because your friends won’t want to believe what you’ve heard or seen(;
how cool would it be to join a team of ghost hunters? (sigh) maybe someday....

Haunting at Farrar #ghosthuntingwithtracyanddeb
love Ghost Hunt USA events! they supply cold water, pop, chips, and candy bars, and coffee for those who indulge...the school house has indoor plumbing downstairs. Tracy & I bought sleeping bags on the way. we set up camp in the gym by the women's bathroom which seemed like a safe place for a few hours sleep. the floor was hard but I slept like a log. now we're home, more sleeping, a shower, and watched a video from Farrar I found on youtube...they had activity in the women's bathroom. orbs shooting into gym from boiler room. hmmm. seemed like the least creepy place to sleep. we met the care takers, who really love the place. it's in good hands. I love when they save old buildings instead of knocking them down and replacing them with ugly but functional and economical Morton buildings. a pretty location. like time just forgot it. we felt chills and heebie jeebies and uneasy feelings. tingles. we saw shadows and heard knocks and tings and weird noises. in the auditorium, our investigator saw a shadow standing between Tracy and I, looking at us. in the boiler room, our investigator saw a shadow standing by Tracy, (and eyes!) looking at her with trust, like she was their mother or trusted adult. I took #thisdollhasseenthings there to live with the children of Farrar Schoolhouse. I think she'll be happy there with My Size Barbie and Mr. Potato Head.

watched the rest tonight after work. Jaws is classic. just classic. don't know how long it'd been since I'd watched it, but need to do it every Shark Week. new rule. that's probably all I'll get tonight....Kevin is home and he likes to sleep in front of his own tv shows. I have a Lizzie Borden book to read, so all is well.....
but, no. Kevin woke up and handed me the remote, so I watched a Shark After Dark. then started the one about dead Great Whites washing up on the beach but couldn't stay awake, so I went to bed about 9 p.m. not bad for a 53 year old pig farmer...thankful for the dvr, so I can watch Shark Week when I have 'the time.' although I do sometimes miss live tv...you had to make the time when it was on, then you had it watched. and you lived life on commercials....making supper, running sweeper, giving Koren a bath...'cause there was no pause button.
KJ passed his last test, so he is an accredited teacher. way to go, Bubs. I'm proud of you!
