the last night of june...

from tree to pie....

another goal completed! also blogged a few pages from the aunt minerva binder onto my allthenutsinthetree blog, and sewed on latest t-shirt quilt till I ran out of white thread. now...tv viewing time! Katie comes back tonite...Kevin took her to school 'cause she didn't want to leave her car there while she was gone...she might be texting ol' ma for a ride home. so, no jammying up till I know fer sure!

and...the inevitable trip to Hour Place to buy vanilla ice cream...'cause orange sherbert, mint chocolate chip, and sea salt cashew ice cream just don't do homemade apple pie justice!!!

just accomplished one of todays' goals....sewed the new vacation patches on the quilt!

have a fish, a bigfoot print, a hiker, and a lake to symbolize our Oar Cabin adventure. my other goal is to sweep floors. just sweep, not even mop. just sweep. before the wads of shed hair and dust bunnies kick us out of our own house....Katie is at Officers Retreat. KJ is in his room. Kevin is at work. all is calm, all is bright. I WILL sweep floors before I turn the tv on to one of my crazy shows on the list....hell, I could even start watching True Blood Season 5! or start reading one of my pile of books...the new Stephen King...or the Alaska homesteading one...or the new Lizzie Borden theory one...I need more leisure time!!! and while watering my 'garden' on The Courtyard... I discovered this: my first future fried green tomato!!!

I need to add pick apples and make apple pie to tomorrow's goal list. also have to go to library and print a MSHSAA physical form for Katie and make her an appt. since our printer won't even turn on. our virtually new used half a dozen times printer. and I definitely have go get online and pay the car insurance by tomorrow....who can get bored with all these important activities?

so, while I was uploading all those pictures, I was also sweeping the floor...so on to my next goal...watching tv/folding laundry!!!I am one Productive Penelope today!

ordered a Billy Brown book from their website. paid some bills online.

I am tired. need to buy critter food. Kevin will go with but is watching some damnable high school baseball movie...I may not last....

& Jared Campbell

are in a relationship...which I kinda already knew. I like Jared. Hell, I've liked the great majority of her boyfriends. she has good taste!

life in the 'burbs.....

I worked, Kevin mowed the yard, then I helped him mow Marie's. he made t-bones on the grill and I made fried potatoes and sweet carrots. he had a couple of his Father's Day beers from Koren & Cody & smoked one of dad's Camels, ate his supper, and is sleeping like a baby in his recliner....time for me to sneakily change the channel....

the clouds were so puffy and white, and the sky was so blue...so took a bunch of cell phone pics....

and, of course when I'm in a good mood, I find every meme on my facebook page inspirational....
