"Why is everyone trying to find meaning in our lives? Whatever happened to just getting through the fucking day?"

yep, Santa Clarita Diet is back!
will I make it through this season or will I toss it aside like so many other shows from my 'past' that I just can't focus on anymore? in other news, tried to start that Johnny Gosch book I bought at a thrift store...nope. not in the mood for government coverups. what is wrong with me?????????????????????????????????????????????

it was bound to happen. today during wean I saw a ghost pig.

it was more a dust whirlwind shaped like a pig. ghost hunting on the brain. spent the morning alternating between singing Cocomelon songs while heat checking and writing my last day in the pig barn facebook post in my head. got a new boar today and christened him Momo The Missouri Monster. his card has a cute Bigfoot sketch on it.

this facebook post got me to thinking....
Casey Lee Yesterday at 3:39 PM How many GAC filming locations have you all visited? Anyone else go out of their way to visit a locale while on vacation or a work trip? I've recently visited my 13th film location (the Adobe Deli in Deming, NM) and I continue to find it amazing how different those locations look in person compared to how I visually perceive it on TV. The Adobe Deli and the Washoe Club are by far the neatest location I've visited. How about you?
Ghost Adventures locations I have been to: Myrtles Plantation.....Bobby Mackey's.....Missouri State Pen...Edinburgh Manor...Waverly Hills...Villisca Ax Murder House...Odd Fellows... Union Station...Sallie House...Ashmore Estates...Pythian Castle...Titanic Museum in Branson...

Kindred Spirits locations I have been to: Odd Fellows...Villisca Ax Murder House...
The Dead Files locations I have been to: Villisca Ax Murder House...
Ghost Hunters locations I have been to: Odd Fellows...The Crescent Hotel...Myrtles Plantation...Waverly Hills....Mo State Pen...Buffalo Trace Distillery...

our fed refund hit the bank and it's not a whopper, but it'll do

paid off Redi-Reserve and our faithful mechanic....but we have a vehicle in the shop and one waiting to go in, so this is a very temporary state.
the things I worry about....Katie sent me a paper she'd written about Hep. A. ...homeless people are susceptible. I know homeless people sleep outdoors in all weather and of course I worry about them, but usually only when something pops up on Facebook or I'm in the city and actually see it. but when you sleep outdoors, you shit outdoors. and in the city, privacy would be a premium, so probably lots of people doing their business in the same spot. ick. if they get infected, they probably don't have insurance coverage or $ to go the dr. or get antibiotics. so, you're living outdoors and doing your business in an alley behind a dumpster with rats, AND you're very very sick with something that could be fixed if you had the means. so sad. who wants to be homeless? lots of us aren't that far from it. lose your job...mental illness...evicted...
tore into my key lime pie and ordered pics from Snap fish to update my ghost book.now off to finish my Ryan Buell book and maybe watch a Ghost Adventures...living the dream.

a bit drizzly today when I boot scooted out of work, a perfect afternoon to snap a couple of pics of ....you guessed it....Tallulah's House.

I was even thinking of our Facebook event (pop machine located about a mile away. nearest Casey's 8 miles or so....bring your own food.) is there electricity there? you could make a killing with a pop machine and a candy machine....or a huge cooler of water and pop and boxes of chips, etc. of course, I can only have an event there in my mind. if I did an event, I would be trespassing with a capital T. but a middle-aged ghost hunter can dream, can't she? I can just see the t-shirts now....we could hang a tire swing from the tree....leave an ax next to a woodpile...just for atmosphere. hee hee.

Follow the yellow brick road

Happy Birthday, baby sister.

May the good Lord be with you
Down every road that you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true
And do unto others as you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever young.
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to Heaven
With a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young.
But whatever road you choose
I'm right behind you, win or lose
Forever young.

(sigh)

showered out of work and took my book out of my locker to read a bit till time to walk risers. #pigbarnlife and I made a decision. I can't. I just can't. no more Alaska books. I don't have the time. the focus. the energy. the inclination. I am done. sure, I'll still daydream of a cabin and wear my incredibly warm blue fleecy pullover, but the Alaska books must go. that will free up a shelf in my room for my other crazy books. should I list them on facebook groups? can't get into my eBay to sell there. think I have to have a credit card to sell on amazon. maybe I'll just give them away? so, I'm just a couple of chapters into this book and I am done. just done.

so, I bought a Bigfoot book by Jason Offutt at Haunticon Omaha 2019

he autographed it for me. now, I'll be damned if he isn't on this episode of The Dead Files at a haunted theater in Marshall, Mo. it's a small, small world....

Katie sent me this today....

it's Zerelda & Gramma day. The chickens are nervous...do you know why? 'cause we've read this book a kajillion times 🤣

On a quiet residential street in this small town sits an old white frame house. On a dark evening, the absence of lights and sounds are the first indication to visitors that this house is different from the other homes that surround it. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice the doors and windows are tightly closed and covered. An outhouse in the backyard suggests that this house does not occupy a place in the 21st century but somehow belongs in another era or another story. A weather-beaten sign warns rather than welcomes. This is the "Murder House".

The price for an individual daytime tour of the house is $10.00 per person 12 and over, Children 7-11 are $5, and seniors 65 and over are $5 Day tours will be open March 30th 2019. Tues-sun 1pm-330pm

Be careful. Not all spirits are kindred spirits. Amy and Adam are at Villisca Ax Murder House!

this is so very true. and we should never forget. did Ryan Buell become addicted to drugs because of spirit attachments from dealing with the demonic? have marriages and relationships ended? have family members been affected. this is something Tracy & I don't take lightly. I bought sea salt sage scrub for our visit to Waverly Hills....just used the last of it after our visit to the Museum of Shadows. recently bought sage spray that we used after Museum of Shadows. my ghost bag has protective crystals. we used the provided holy water at Museum of Shadows to enter the room of the lower realm. this room is sealed with salt. the cauldron that creeped me out so badly was surrounded by salt. and this room is blessed twice daily by a pastor and a priest. they take it seriously. all new items go into a quarantine building. and they investigate each item, using the FBI. a very professional scientific approach.
Amy & Adam had been called by an investigator who had received a death threat from the house and lost several family members soon after. he thought something was attached to him. they also met with the man who stabbed himself in the house. they concluded that the house goes after the weak. it feeds on fear. the only presence Chip Coffey felt was the murderer. he was evil. gleeful. excited about the things he did. he didn't sense the family at all. Johnny made a brief appearance. at Haunticon he said he won't investigate the house anymore. he lives next door, the spirits come to his house. while he was filming Johnny Houser vs. there, Sara Moore came to his house and was attacking his wife with an ax to show her how it felt. so, he finished out the series investigating the basement and the barn and left them alone.
Amy Allen talked to the spirits. they are scared and reliving this horrible event. I wonder if anyone has tried to help them move on. Tracy & I went to the cemetery and paid our respects, people still leave offerings on their stone. I wasn't prepared with small toys, so left change.
Amy & Adam said cigarette butts were found in the attic. (did I know that?) and that J.B. was killed with the sharp end of the ax and Sara and the children beaten to death with the blunt end.
Tracy & I posed outside with the sign since they were closed. we'll go for a daytime tour someday. it's just a day trip. then I can take small toys to cemetery, as well. I want to walk from the church to the house. I'm guessing it's the church on their block, will have to try and figure it out. (How many times have I said that???) The sign has changed since I was there last. and from the Kindred Spirits episode, looks like more toys in the children's room, maybe? will have to find my pictures and look....sure they're on facebook....
ok. maybe you aren't allowed to take pictures inside or maybe I just didn't? all I found posted were outside pictures. maybe a different album? will have to see if I can find official rules posted. I know Jesse James Farmhouse doesn't allow pictures. Museum of Shadows doesn't either.
ok, the only pics I posted on facebook and my blog are outside pics. I know Madison Paranormal took pics inside.....why didn't I? definitely will when Tracy & I go.....

had a long, amazing ghosthunting weekend....we hung out in our hotel room Saturday night and watched like 3 episodes of Ghost Adventures!

and Tracy had been to the casinos they were investigating...the hotel was huge and confusing. Tracy had to navigate me there, too :) we never did make it to the hot tub. and that 8 most haunted places in Omaha thing I found? said it was recently updated, but nope. we had fun tracking down locations. made it to all but 2, I think....and we plan to go back when Zak Bagan's comes to town....so will see what happens then. had to make an emergency t.p. run this morning. how the hell do we run out of t.p>? seems like I buy it by the truckload constantly. I was overstocked forever, so guess I just got cocky and thought all was well. did a bunch of instagraming this morning, after sleeping waaaaaay late. cleaned kitchen enough to make breakfast. ran sweeper. going to make some lunch before Kevin goes to work. I love my housewife days. tomorrow I'll be watching Zerelda.

a little ditty 'bout KJ & Taylore...two American kids growing up in the heart land....oh yeah life goes on...a little ditty 'bout KJ & Taylore two American kids doin' the best they can. #happyanniversary❤️

3.24.2019

one does not simply go to Haunticon....

we also went to Hummel Park to climb the morphing steps and see the trees covering road that hold the souls of lynching victims. but we found wood steps and they're concrete. oops.
O'Connors Irish Pub that is closed. but we found it.
Every town has at least one pub that is reputed to be haunted and for Omaha that honour goes to none other than O’Connor’s Irish Pub. The pub has been open since 2001 and since then, there have been reports of paranormal activity including shadow figures and unexplained footsteps in the kitchens and the second floor bar area. During one visit from a group of paranormal investigators, the bar lights were mysteriously turned on when the investigators asked for any spirit who was present to make itself known to them. They also managed to capture several EVP recordings. The group also reported hearing a noise that sounded like somebody shuffling through a sheaf of papers behind the bar and that they had some unexplained equipment failures. One of the current owners has witnessed an apparition of an owner of the place from the 1920’s. After witnessing him she was shown a picture of this man and it matched his description exactly!
we found that The White Apartments are now red.
The White House Apartments is a turn of the century Victorian property which sits in the heart of Omaha’s Little Italy district. The property was originally a private mansion, but at some point the building was purchased and turned into a small hospital for the growing Italian neighbourhood. In more recent times, thanks to its proximity to 3 different universities it has been used as an apartment building. It looks tired and run down from the outside, but the interior is well maintained and the residents say that the small apartments are affordable and secure. Of course, they are also reported to be haunted as well! There is one particular entity who has made herself known to most of the residents. She drifts through the halls wearing a white gown and is most commonly seen in the lobby, welcoming residents into the building. She is by no means alone in the building, but the other spooks seem much more unobtrusive and will simply flit past in your peripheral vision. While the lady in white is thought to be from the mansion era, many of the others are believed to be spirits of those who passed away in the hospital. There is also a funeral home next door, so they could be drifting in from there too. Whoever they are, they are helping to secure this building’s reputation

Haunticon Omaha 2019 is in the books.....what an adventure!

I met Ryan Buell. and a lot of other cool folks...including 2 Bigfoot hunters from Iowa! and Madison, a teenage investigator! bought a voodoo doll and a t-shirt and 2 books. and keychains....one made from a piece of Farrar, and one made from pieces of Hinsdale House. saw people we 'know'....Tony & Deb Pickman, the couple from McInteer Villa, Johnny Houser, Dustin Pari, Josh Heard, the guide from Beattie Mansion. and others we 'know' from facebook and instagram. we met authors and investigators and artists. learned about new locations to investigate. heard amazing stories of experiences.
