and started a Bigfoot wall in garage
I'm just your average grandma who believes in Bigfoot and ghosts and is fascinated by serial killers....

I did a couple of amazon reviews...
Customer Review tallulah jane puffenstuff 5.0 out of 5 stars I'd never tried to make a 3-D house puzzle before. Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2024 Verified Purchase pieces popped out easily enough. I used up the teeny tiny square of sandpaper quickly. the further you go, the harder it is to line things up. patience is a virtue. there were bad words. I did complete the project, and I'm pretty proud of it. added a set of cats to create Mrs. Hemphill's Home for Abandoned Pussies. for the price, seemed like a good deal.

well, well. well. today didn't go quite like I intended. I did have to get dressed.
but the top 2 items on my to-do list today were completed. I finished the t-shirt quilt and it's in dryer now. and got Coralie's bday gifts wrapped. Kevin asked me to go to bank and deal with the box key issue. turns out we have 3 keys instead of standard 2. I wished Cody happy birthday. had a supposed mouse sighting, so picked them up and brought them here and an afternoon of hilarty ensued. little miss was punch drunk exhausted and fell asleep just in time for daddy to carry her out into the blustering-oh-yeah-it's-February wind and wake her up. meanwhile, Sister was crying in the car that she was freezing, so wrapped her up in my t-shirt/denim quilt for the ride home. need to buy wrapping paper tomorrow to wrap Cora's box. the already wrapped box I had was too small. and make her gift tag. Kevin came home with a bad migraine.
these pictures of my quilt on my bed in my kinda crowded room show a serial killer that it's a bit of work. unless you just wanna shoot us from the foot of the bed. but we're under like 5 heavy blankets. and have a lot of pillows round our heads. maybe you should try the neighbors house instead? also, usually a lot of dog toys all over living room floor. fyi.

the quilt part of t-shirt quilt is done! now putting on the binding.
played with Izzy today. got to see Z for a minute. did some much needed housecleaning. and watching a documentary series about serial killers family members meeting serial killer victim family members. this makes as much sense to me as Victim Statements in Trial Sentencing. I just don't get it. not my thing. what can you do? how much more can you hurt? how could this help? I could never do therapy, either. my hurt is locked up tight. in a vault. double padlocked.
other upcoming planned projects: taking down scary Bigfoot stuff in grands room. will rearrange creepy corner walls and put it up down there. getting the big snake pattern and making all the grands snakes for Christmas. thinking a huge lego set and a book for each, as well.

I'm not a resolution type of gal these days, but I have made a couple of pretty substantial lifestyle changes recently.....
#1. using powdered milk. since I only use milk to cook, I mix up a cup at a time and store in fridge. I know how hard milking cows is. and I always felt guilty about all the milk I dumped that expired. I couldn't even use up all the forever-lasting lactaid milk. so far, so good.
#2. went through all my rubbermaid containers, matched lids with containers, threw away mis-matches, and now store them with the lid on individual container. this seems pretty significant to me. like accomplished, even. maybe I am a Good Enough Stay At Home Mother of Grown Children. maybe.

still on the bucket list....
You may wonder: "What are the odds of me finding a diamond if I were to visit Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park?" Here is your answer: I have found 177 diamonds at this unique, state park so far. Two of them weighed over 2 carats each. They are shown here in this photo.
I don't find a diamond on every visit. I've most likely visited more than 400 times. People who learn what diamonds look like and learn how to find them are more likely to find a diamond than the majority of visitors who come, wander around, and leave in an hour or two because it is too hot and humid.
The official, state park statistics gathered over the past 52 years show 35,250 diamonds found by 4,663,347 visitors. That averages out to be about 1 diamond found for every 132 visitors. If every visitor was guaranteed to find a diamond, tickets would be a whole lot more than $15 each.
When considering your odds of finding a diamond, please also consider that a 7-year-old girl found a 2.95-carat diamond on September 1, 2023. It's so easy that even kids can do it!!! Here is a link to the official, state park statistics: https://www.arkansasstateparks.com/.../diamond-statistics
booked my flight to Arizona October 14-19 and Tracy is making plans!

Kevin got real traps. this mouse shit 'bout to be done. I am so fucking over it. my life is no longer my own. "they're easy to set. I'll show you." fine. whatever. fast forward to me after another LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASs day. at the farm. trying to set these things. they keep going off. I am quite jumpy. I don't like to be jumpy. it's who I am. I think I threw my back out recoiling everytime I clicked one off. no one had time to check them this morning before they went to school and dropped the other 2 off here this morning.
