tonite was the first home varsity bb game. some observations:
the new asst. boys coach is loud.
one of the starters made many many many mistakes, think he should've been benched waaaaaaaaaaaaaay before he fouled out.
I like when the players come to the game dressed nicely. I think it shows respect for the sport. other teams do it. ours do not.
the Mormon Trail girls uniforms looked like girls uniforms. and their girls looked like girls.
That Kale Horton kid from Mormon Trail is a hell of a player. even though he no longer dates my daughter, I was quietly cheering for him!
the dance was amazing! I am so proud of Brit & Kate! and of their sponsor for announcing that they choreographed the dance!
it was nice to have someone to go to the game with. I enjoyed hanging out with my husband. I am always telling him how Kate's boyfriend holds doors for me at work. and last night when we went to the movies....Kevin actually held a door open for me. it was endearing.

work, then to Trenton to see this movie.
Kevin is a Rocky person. me, not so much. I always think to myself how much my cousin Chris and "Rocky Balboa" look alike. It has it's sweet moments, like when he pulled a chair out of a tree, then sat down and was reading the paper to Pauley and Adrian's graves. then we ate at a pretty deserted Pizza Hut on a cold, rainy night. then home again, home again, jiggedgy jog.

another evening of visiting family....came home with a haul from moms...found a spot for lamp in bathroom...will find spots for picture frames and coffee pots later....
was nice to see John...and of course, Lisa, Tom, Max, Logan, & Mom...

went back to work yesterday afternoon in the downpour to walk 2 barns worth of risers & lagoons.....soaked thru my pants, my winter coat, the tops of my Muck boots...
and it was cold! was dripping so bad I soaked the truck seat. came home and jammied up. the wind sounds frightful this morning. there were cautions of freezing...and since the road was covered in water yesterday....looks to be a fun drive to Peach 5 this morning. Kate stayed at Jared's last night, they thought it was too slick to take her home. better safe than sorry. so, just in case I don't survive the morning commute....here are these memes...(I know, I know. I was doing so good....)
went out to start truck, porch a bit slick, but windows weren't iced over, driveway didn't seem bad....I'll just pretend like I'm homesteading in Alaska, trying to get a moose for my winter food supply. or a caribou. or a brown bear. they ride their wheelers thru a lot worse shit than the roads I drive to work....

Ian loves dinosaurs....so for xmas ordered him a dinosaur board book and a plush egg with handle and 5 beanie dinosaurs he can put in it. (he also loves to carry things with handles!)
and it's from Hearth Song, which is a very good kids company, so I know they're well made and safe. 'cause so many dinosaurs are hard pointy plastic that could cause owies.
