S.E. Hinton wrote her first book in high school, you know. I started several stories over the years. a classmate and I wrote tales of Tiny Teena, a very un-tiny girl, when we were in 4th grade. I exchanged memorable story telling penpal letters with this same friend and a cousin in junior high years. Friends and I wrote Star Trek zines of our own.

I had titles. and chapters.

Through the Eyes of Vince. Cherrywood Acres. Platville High. North of the Gully of the Ridge. I Loved Jesse James. I continued writing well into adult years. I won honorable mention in a short story contest as an adult. I was 'published' in high school in the local newspaper poetry column and a high school magazine. after all this time, I finally found my style. Deb's Bigfoot Movie. a sarcastic story of a small town where Bigfoot came out of the woodwork and just got jobs and tried to live normal lives. started dating the locals. Bigfoot in high school. working at the gas station. of course a lot of mysterious disappearances and gruesome murders. I have fun with it. I also make my own comics. I am a deal. you'll never see me on the New York Times Bestseller List, and that's ok.

I used to read everything I could get my hands on. now I am much pickier. if it bores me, I just quit reading. life is too short. Kevin always told me I should write what I know. and maybe a town of Bigfoot is what I wish I knew. I laugh my ass off and think I'm quite clever. maybe I am. who knows.

I miss the old Stephen King, and I especially miss the Constant Reader letters. but we all change and evolve as time goes on.
