while doing bills this am....found a late notice from the phone co.....didn't have it in the check register as paid....nor did I find the bill in bill box....check is in the mail today.

kevin had overtime so paid personal property taxes and 2 big credit card payments....

ordered a bunch of movies from CH...

chillaxing for a few before I go donate my day setting up the band carnival.

instead of sleeping in on 'my day off' I gave dillon a ride to work.

I am my own worst enemy.

need to take off a 'day off' that is actually a 'day off.'

I did get the garbage to curb and the truck pretty much loaded. it won't all fit!

brought home the book I'd had in my locker at work and read at random moments and FINISHED IT! so many deaths...so much suffering....so fascinating. and probably not as horrible as what they actually endured. horrible suffering has always fascinated me, especially people who go into it willingly, like these poor Mormon hand cart pioneers....

what a day.....didn't have to give the kid a ride, so went in at 5a.m., got done and left at 11a.m., came home to sort thru stuff in garage for band carnival, then to princeton to pick up band carnival prizes, then home to do chores and start loading truck, then went to the first home BB game to watch katie in pepband.

the lamoni boys team was amazing....one of their players did a guest drummer spot on wipeout...and their boys cheered for our pep band! they are small but mighty....and I think the cheering really boosted their confidence!

kate confessed that she misses dance team.

kevin picked up truck at willis, he has ordered another part, so it will have to go back.

better get some sleep....tomorrow is the band carnival and it will be a long long long long long...well, you get the picture....day.

I also have to add that no matter how many cardinal games I go to...home OR away....I still am amazed at how the fans heckle their own team. someone has to win, someone has to lose. sometimes you just have a bad day. grownups should set an example, not boo kids. maybe they should go out there and run up and down the court and see if they can do it any better....

the pessimist in me grumbles...."damn cull truck showed late, didn't get to shower out till after 5...while the optomist in me says, "I'll never see THOSE 72 sows again!"

kevin fed the dogs, picked kate up to go to store, made HB and doritoes for supper, read some on my Dust Bowl book while kevin 'watched tv' (aka slept in his chair and occasionally opened his eyes.)

truck is still in shop, waiting for parts. something about dragging brakes or bent something or other....

kaite left message on home phone (from her room) that she has a C in band!!!!! and got an A on math test.

katie put up the tree....playinng xmas music on her iphone...kayla came over to keep her company. she drug in 1 box of decorations and started decorating....then we ended up in her room watching Chopped.

she doesn't like the new lights I bought....

and I tried to make her homemade chocolate chip cookies...but my butter was a huge brick instead of sticks, so guesstimated....they didn't taste like hyvee bakery chocolate chip cookies...

kevin went to bed before I did...I did sweep up the toenails from our first attempt at trimming the dogs toenails and the fake pineneedles from our fake tree...thinking we'll go real tree next year.
