on the way home, he told me he made the hotel reservation in the chiropractor parking lot while I was in getting my adjustment...he called me at work a couple of times to see if I was getting any time off since we were working short....

substitute 'pig farmers' for miners and there you are. this was enlightening to watch before going to work early so I could leave early to go to chiropractor....
met Kevin in Princeton after work, went to chiropractor, then waited in the other place time forgot (#1 being the pig barn, #2 being Any Verizon Store) and got Katie her requested Rose Gold I phone 6S+. told her we were in a rush, and when it was our turn, went very quickly. made it to The Magnificent Seven. hell of a movie. there were 4 of us in the theater, so Kevin got his middle of the back row seats, then the other couple engaged me in conversation when we were leaving...about the original movie, which I don't remember if I'd seen.then to McDonalds for late supper and to Walmart---here I have to state that going to any other Walmart than "Kj's Walmart" makes me sad. I'll spot a tall dark haired boy out of the corner of my eye in the blue shirt and vest, and it's not my boy. (sigh.) then picked up truck, and home midnightish. Kevin has made mystery plans for our anniversary, including a night away, so bought hair dye, and here I am, up with my work alarm, dying my roots. didn't look at directions very well, or the contents of box, so mixed about half my after dying conditioner into the dye, so assuming the color will be lighter and my hair will be extra super duper luscious. also have to shower and shave my legs, since I was out of razer blades. and throw together an overnight bag, look upon my beautiful daughter before she leaves for school, who I only saw yesterday as she drove past us and we then drove past her....and feed the critters, of course.
I love when Kevin makes surprise plans. it shows he still cares. and that he put in the time. I tried to plan something, but with only 2 days, Oklahoma Robbers Cave State Park or Memphis Tennessee were just going to be a bunch of driving. next year, maybe we'll have more time. we both have 4 days off, but only 2 of those days overlap, and today also had eye dr. and dentist appts. previously scheduled, so will leave from there....
tomorrow will be 33 years. also a Wednesday. we were married on a Wednesday. #keeponlovin'you

(carbolic acid, poisoning, jumping into water, hanging, gunshot, slitting throat. )thrown out of wagon. fell into canyon. drowned. burnt up in hot springs. freezing to death. carbon monoxide poisoning in vehicle trapped in snow. grizzly attack. wrecks (plane, stagecoach, bus, car, wagon...). kicked by horse. snow slide. asphyxia. mine cave-in. disease. ( diptheria. spinal meningitis. pneumonia, double catarrh/pneumonia. pulmonary edema. acute pulmonary congestion right side with acute cardiac dilatation. exhaustion following broncho-pneumonia. toremia caused by scarlet fever. lobular [lobar] pneumonia. typhoid fever. general pirintonctis. arterial selerosis. senility and endocartis. aortic insufficiency aggravated by chronic alcoholism....using their spellings. back then you could spell shit however the hell you wanted to. people just figured out what you were talking about...or not.) exhaustion and exposure.

made it thru today. was counting down days till next weeks vacation....found out today door codes had to be changed since an employee from our sister barn was fired yesterday. also heard the other one walked out....which means they are desperately, dangerously short. heard from the maintenance angel who fixed my broken actuator cable that there are rumors of a hiring freeze in 2017...company isn't making enough $. god knows they're not spending it on paychecks...since no one works there anymore. anyway, I will keep believing in my vacation and wait to see if I get the word Monday that it can't happen....
Katie, Kayla, and Brittney went to the visitation for Mrs. Couchman's husband. she has been their pe teacher their whole lives, and their dance coach since 7th grade. I am proud of them for going to support her. I know it'll mean a lot to her. One of my biggest fears is being widowed. your income would be cut in half. she has 3 young children. trying to be there for them while you're in mourning and shock....hope I never have to find out.
no school tomorrow for funeral. Kate & Bryer are journeying to Warrensburg tomorrow to see their boyfriend/girlfriend. she has so many adventures. she wore the dress tonight that she selected to keep from the boutique photo shoot she did.

I guess that I should feel special that an HR person and the CM drove clear down that dusty gravel road time forgot and showered into a barn just to write me up.
I was damn pissed, but came home and had a frozen margarita and now I just plain don't give a fuck. Kevin made lasagna for supper. we're all home. talked to my mom on the phone. I think this is the first time in 21 years I've been wrote up. but I could've forgotten. like it even matters. I need the paycheck. I must put up and shut up and keep on keepin' on. and I hope like hell that I get to quit before I keel over dead. I am fairly certain, however, that I will never again attend a 'mandatory' quarterly employee appreciation horseshit event. I have been appreciated quite enough lately, thank you very much.
