and yet another Bigfoot thing I never knew....

Bigfoot and Wildboy 1977 Sid and Marty Krofft Bigfoot and Wildboy was a live action children's television series on ABC. It began in 1976 as a part of The Krofft Supershow on Saturday mornings. Released September 10, 1977, each episode was 15 minutes long, with cliffhanger endings resolved the following week. It became its own series in 1979 with twelve 30-minute episodes. There were a total of 28 episodes produced. Plot: Bigfoot finds a young boy lost in the vast wilderness of the Northwestern United States. Bigfoot raises the boy who becomes known as Wildboy. Now, 8 years later, they fight crime and aliens who show up around their forest home. Trivia: Ray Young played Bigfoot. He also played many characters on Star Trek, Dukes of Hazzard, Wonder Woman, Six Million Dollar Man and Gunsmoke. This was the first Krofft Brothers show to be shot of film rather than videotape since H.R. Pufnstuf (1969), and the first Krofft show that was filmed on location. Joseph Butcher who played Wildboy also had roles on Knots Landing and The Waltons. Only two releases were available in the 1980s by Embassy Video, "Bigfoot and Wildboy Volume One" and "Bigfoot and Wildboy Volume Two." Both are now out of print. Columbia House released The World Of Sid and Marty Krofft series, which contained Bigfoot and Wildboy episodes. Rhino Video released a three-DVD collection also called The World Of Sid and Marty Krofft in 2002 included "The Return Of The Vampire" episode. #Bigfoot #Wildboy #SidandMartyKrofft #BigfootandWildboy #Krofft #70sTV #MEGO #mikesdeadformats #LJNtoys #Saturdaymornings Sources IMDB and Wikipedia

my sister in law believes in Bigfoot, as I do. she comments on stuff on facebook and I just happened to find this one.....whoa.

Thank you love being involved in these sights it answers alot of Questions .I have had from my Experience wen I was young.
wen I was 6 or 7 we lived in southern iowa.in a the country.Im 52 now so this was awhile ago..We have a Big Foot come to our 2 story Farm house.Mostly at night. My father was a Truck driver. He was gone alot..It would look in My Brothers Window .We new it wen He would scream every night. Then they moved his Room down stairs..Yes his room was on top floor..And we would have cattle taken out of the cattle feed lot .With no broke fence. And left in are yard with the belly gone..I remember my uncle and my father setting in the kitchen with guns. And the rest of us in the liveing room And hearing something walking on the front deck right in front of us.And the men running outside and my mom screaming..They weren't out there long..After that I was told it was a panther .But I new better.it was heavy steps..This hapend a few times..My Dog had to be put down becouse the Neighbors said he was killing Pigs. But now I know it wasn't my dog ...we moved wen I was 8 out of that farm house cause my dad all of a sudden wouldnt let us walk to school anymore right up the road now I know wy..To dangerouse I soppose...Now that I'm older I'm finding answers to wierd things that happen..I've ben Researching these Cryptids for a long time it's hard to find good info..That's my story..Short Story
My Father looked into everything he could to find out about big foot after that..And then I did around the Age of 15 and still am.

flex days are back, and today is mine, baby.

I didn't do a Ferris...I mainly slept. but I also knocked a few things off my list. I have all these couple of minutes tasks and I put them off until they loom over my head like great big things, but when I start to tackle them....boom. boom. boom. I found a sheet for the back of KJ's SuperHero quilt. it wasn't big enough, so I took the leftover fabric I had to make it work and pinned it all together. BOOM. I stuffed Katie's Birthday Pinata and am taking her Birthday Box, her Brides Maid Dress, and My Sewing Machine to her tonight, we might be making Brayden a Halloween Costume. or not. BOOM. found my hat, gloves, and yak traks to throw in truck for work. BOOM.
it snowed last night while I was doing my now apparently mandatory after work nap. was melting away pretty good when I finally wandered outside about 2ish in my jammies today to feed the dogs. in my defense, these days, if I have on a bra, this qualifies as dressed on my own property. if it's dark, the bra is negotiable.

I am going to be killed and eaten by a wolf on an English train.

Kevin has gone to the city to hang out with the grandbabies. I had to stay behind and work. so, I am working on my ghost scrapbook and going to vaccum and have some laundry going. there will ultimately be some ridiculous tv viewing, as well. and I'm gorging myself on Schwan's ice cream sundae cones.

Mt. Moriah!

once again.... a meme that pretty much sums up....everything.

Anna wore frumpy clothes. Her teeth needed straightening, they would say. People would continue to attack her looks and her self-esteem to the point that she was very insecure, she believed what everyone said about her, admitting she was an "ugly duckling." When she first met him, she could not believe that a man was interested in her. She wanted him to see her world, so instead of going to a fancy, social event, she instead took him to the slums of the Lower East Side, where she did volunteer work, helping young immigrants. The young man, who had held a rich, sheltered life, saw things he would never forget -- sweat shops where women labored long hours for low wages and squalid tenements where children worked for hours until they dropped with exhaustion. This walking tour profoundly changed the young man, moving him to say, that he "could not believe human beings lived that way." The young man's name was Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the young woman, who changed his life forever, who would change the world forever, her name was Anna Eleanor Roosevelt. They would eventually marry. On March 4, 1933, Franklin D. Roosevelt would be inaugurated as the 32nd President of the United States and Anna Eleanor Roosevelt would become the First Lady. At first, Anna Eleanor Roosevelt remained shy. She would also continue to be ridiculed by the press, making fun of her stout figure, toothy smile, and way of dress. Even her own mother-in-law, still over-protective of her son, would tell Eleanor's own children that their mother was boring. But, being First Lady allowed Eleanor Roosevelt to see more of the world, to see how the rest of the nation lived, outside of her priviliged surroundings. She started speaking up for women, African-Americans, and children. And, she started influencing her husband, telling him what she saw. She would continue to receive hate mail for her views, but it just made her stronger, more determined. When the Daughters of the American Revolution boycotted the 1936 concert of African-American singer Marian Anderson, she would resign her membership and helped organize a new concert in front of the Lincoln Memorial that made history. She flew with black (male) pilots and helped the Tuskegee Airmen in their successful effort to become the first black combat pilots. She would be nominated three times, during her lifetime, for a Nobel Peace Prize. She became a renowned social and political activist, journalist, educator, and diplomat. Throughout her time as First Lady, and for the remainder of her life, she was a high profile supporter of the Civil Rights Movement, of equal rights for women, and of social reforms to uplift the poor. Even after her husband's passing, she remained active in politics for the rest of her life. President Truman would appoint her as a U.S. Delegate to the United Nations, where she would receive a standing ovation when the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted on December 10, 1948. She would chair President Kennedy's ground-breaking committee which helped start second-wave feminism, the Presidential Commission on the Status of Women. And, she continued supporting women, even personally assisting in the careers of many women, providing them with guidance, giving them hope. She would still remember when they called her an ugly duckling when she was growing up, but to the world, she was and continues to be a beautiful swan whose beauty inside helped her speak the truth, making the world a little better for all.

Evidence Log: Haunted Potosi, Missouri.

First off, it was a really lucky weekend, Tracy & I each won a $10 gift card in the PTF raffle from Steak & Shake, then I won $5 on a Chiefs scratcher, and Tracy won a free ticket. Paranormal Task Force was our host at the very historic and haunted properties of the Mine Au Breton Historical Society on Saturday October 19, 2019. we were in the Green Frog Group. In the first house I used my Spirit Box in the Suicide/Murder Room. after the nice lady at Bobby Mackey's showed me how to adjust it, now sometimes I hear things. I got some Spanish words and a lot of humming. a message? garbled radio signals? I'm happy with any result. Tracy got a photo of a shaft of light in the Attack Room. In the Banta-Long House, she got a couple of orb pictures in this bedroom.
I was taking pics with my phone to see if I got the same thing...the floor had carpet, so it wasn't a reflection. and through my phone camera screen we both saw something black and shadowy skitter across the floor from like the wall to a chair. it wasn't in the picture I took. Tracy said it looked like a cat, so we called it The Shadow Cat. (interesting side note: the tour guide said no one had ever seen a cat, but the replica doll house of this house at the 3rd stop on our tour had a little cat in an upstairs bedroom. I'll take it.) Then, we were in the attic. we were alone. you could hear traffic outside and people downstairs talking, then it was really quiet. and we heard. a. little. girls. voice. in. the. corner. the corner with no windows to the outside. there were no little girls on the tour. I looked out the window into yard, no one out there. There have been little girls spotted in the children's room. There was a really cool doll in the children's room, obviously very old. someone on the tour said it was made from compressed sawdust, her grandma had one. it had blink eyes, cloth body, molded head, arms, and legs. Tour guide said that the doll is known to move, you leave room and come back, eyes have opened or shut, head has turned the other way, etc. Tracy tried moving her around a bit, she just stayed put. I don't know. The girl on our tour in the black shirt with cross necklace (I am awful with names, but she also believes in Bigfoot.) took a pic of the doll on the bed from the balcony in the hall. and. the. doll. was. not. in. the. picture. she went in the room, the doll was on bed. she took the pic with out a flash and it was grainy, but I didn't see the doll. I tried to recreate the picture, but had to use the flash, couldn't see anything. I could clearly see the doll on the bed when the flash went off from out in the hall, and she was in every picture I took from every angle. I don't know.
didn't get anything at the 3rd location, a church and several small cemeteries. It is sad to see the decomposing fallen stones. someone once loved them enough to memorialize them, but now there is no one to keep it up. lots of little iron fences around graves...to keep something out...or something in? our hotel had super comfy beds and pillows, Thank the Jersey Devil. it was a lot of driving. probably the highlight of the weekend was taking pictures at Gypsy Rose Blanchard's house.
and we wandered around Steelville and Uranus. it was a good finish to a year of ghost hunting. what adventures will next year bring?

Ian's artwork from school webpage!

AND you can order art made from it...and some of the proceeds go back to school art program! so.....I had a post card made and sent to Ian to tell him how much I loved his pumpkin!

to sleep, perchance to dream...and I. am. so. damn. tired.

been doing a lot of sleeping...and a lot of dreaming...here are a couple stuck in my head.
I'm at Grandma and Grandpa's house and I know I'm trespassing, since they are both gone and the property was sold, but I'm skulking around the far outside edge of the garage and the dirt by the foundation has eroded away and there are these beautiful pink white quartz crystal stalagmite like stones....and I just want one. or two. but everyone I pry out breaks into tiny bits and dust. so I take another. and another. a guy is up on the hill watching me. and I just keep taking the rocks. and they keep breaking into nothing.
I'm walking out of my old high school. there are teachers lined up by the old band room and on the hill, watching everyone walk out. I'm in a white dress and pumps and I'm having trouble walking. I'm lurching and weaving. I try to let kids around me, but they won't go. they're letting the old lady go first. I know I'll fall down that flight of cement steps by the band room. I just know it.
I'm in a go cart. out in the middle of nowhere. the highway is suddenly covered with tall grass and the most beautiful white Shasta daisies, like a field. then it's the highway again. then there's a tunnel. a tunnel going up a hill. there's a guy behind me in a jeep with 2 kids in the backseat. I wave him around me, not sure my go cart can pull the hill. he gets about halfway up, so I start behind him. then he looses traction and hooks his chain to hoist himself up. but it slips and the jeep is falling down the tunnel. I try to brace it with my foot. another lady is behind me on a bike with a little kid. she looks at me and I tell her to get to the bottom. we all slide down. I look up and there is corn tumbling down the tunnel. and then a huge black and white steer. we have to run across a flat spot to get to a door. a huge barn door. but it's real flimsy warped plywood. I get it wrestled shut. it is secured by a little tiny eye hook. I look around for something to brace the door. we are in a conference type room with glass and metal tables and leather chairs. the woman with the toddler is telling me she never walks past the zoo. too dangerous.

10.15.2019

today at the mandatory biannual luncheon (why is this shit mandatory????)

Kitchell told me that Peach 4 is haunted by an old man and a sow. I've seen dark shadows out of the corner of my eye. I once saw a ghost pig during wean. for reals. so, here are my two lives intersecting....work and hobby. pigs and ghosts. hmmmmmm.

My little sunshine ☀️

if you’re a fan of moongazing, then you’re in luck. Because it is also around this time (the month of October) that people looking to the night sky will have the chance to see what is known as a Hunter’s Moon. A slight variation on a full moon, the Hunter’s Moon has long been regarded as a significant event in traditional folklore, and a subject of interest for astronomers. Definition: Also known as a sanguine or “blood” moon, the term “Hunters Moon” is used traditionally to refer to a full moon that appears during the month of October. It is preceded by the appearance of a “Harvest Moon”, which is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox (which falls on the 22nd or 23rd of September).

Social Studies: Karl Dailey kdailey@rhsk12.org

Lisa shared a good memory on Facebook today.....Cooking dinner is so much easier on days I don't work. I can never make lasagna without remembering the Daileys coming to visit at our first house. Tom, Kevin, Deb, and KJ were all in the basement playing pool but Koren wanted to stay upstairs and help me make lasagna.

When Cal and his sister Becky hear a young boy’s cry for help, they run into the vast field of grass in an attempt to help him. As they venture further and further into the field it’s not long before they discover that there’s no way out.

In The Tall Grass
somedays kinda feel like a Joe Hill/Stephen King novella. this one was terrifying! a continuous loop....and always being lost and confused....the perfect Netflix movie to watch in bed after a day of work and an afternoon of chair and bed napping....bring on the late nights!

10.13.2019

yesterday was the Mercer County Junk Jaunt.

that would've been fun, but we both had to work. so there's that. came home today and chair napped and bed napped. Chiefs lost again. Kevin watched it while I was at work. have a Christmas decoration ordered...a NFL Lego Chiefs Snowman. at the rate I'm going, may not even get a tree put up this year. so listless and lazy. but we'll have a snowman!
Katie called, today was her last shift at Victoria's Secret. she starts her new job tomorrow and has signed up for her last semester classes and has her internship lined up. she is a girl who is going places. Today was also Teeny Tiny Terry's last day at Peach 4. kind of bittersweet. you get used to hanging out with someone every day and then they're gone.

We got some jack o lanterns done today!
