this quote from a blog about why we need to get rid of school picture day. most kids take better selfies of themselves than a photographer can. the only reason for the school pic is so that your kid won't have that box with a blank face and ? mark in it with their name in the school yearbook. what if parents could send in the pic for the yearbook? we let seniors do it. but some parents might forget....when I was a kid, some girls slept in rollers for picture day. some brought dress up clothes to school and changed. none of mine were ever that good. but they didn't have a lot to work with. I personally love school pictures....they have entertainment value. it's like a drivers license photo...stand on the footprints...click. there you go. Katie has in the past demanded school picture retakes. I buy the minimum package. sometimes I find stashes of wallets in odd places that I meant to put in xmas cards for grandparents. I mean well, I guess....
