day 1. ❄️ ❄️. lot of cars 🚗🚘 in ditch. a 🚛 semi on its side. Cracker Barrel. Kevin said of course they seat us by the hoarded up window.🪟.

where does Cracker Barrel get these old portraits for decor? Flea markets? eBay? donations from people cleaning out deceased relatives houses? "I don't know who that is, Margo, let's just put it on one of those rocking chairs at the Cracker Barrel. They'll put it to good use. Let it haunt them."

Day 2. Complimentary breakfast includes an omelette chef! Johnny Cash museum. Paid for parking with an app! Walked around and knocked a few haunted pics off my list. Walked to a bar in the neighborhood for lunch. Hiked downtown and knocked more haunted stuff off my list. Ordered drinks at a kiosk. Look at us bravely trying new things! Blackberry Smoke concert at Ryman. Sound was amazing. Crowded pews and thinking about the balcony over our heads in this very old church collapsing. On our heads. Then a late nite hike back to hotel. .Homeless people. I tried to avoid them, but we got hit up. I don't like to think about anyone living outside in winter.

funny story...I had emailed and thought I had a tour today. I. did. not. They were on a field trip. I rolled Kevin out of bed bright & early. drove almost 2 hours. I got pictures. I picked up a spooky vibe. It's crossed off the list.

Day 3. explored South Pittsburg, just not the hospital. 😂 Kevin found me a Bigfoot to pose by. we bought a cast iron Bundt cake pan. When we stopped for nite 4 hours from home (5 hours from last hotel) realized I forgot Kevin's big pillow when I packed car this morning...and there's a high school show choir in our hotel. stopped at Ozarkland on way home just cause. and had to buy dog food and a new pillow for Kevin....still made it home before 3 p.m. and it's Superbowl, baby!
