sweeping with salt.

Nana always swept with salt. She told me that it gets the bad energy out of the house. As I got older and lived on my own, I would continue to sweep with salt because it’s how I grew up. As I got more into homeopathy and herbology, I learned to add a few things to the salt to help open the portals for other things. He’s some of my favorite herbs to use: Cinnamon: for prosperity, use liberally if you have a brick and mortar business. Garlic shells: Gets the evil spirits out. Allspice: Encourages friendship and fellowship for visiting guests Oregano: Keeps 12 away as well as gossip and nosiness. Rosemary: Opens mental abilities. Lavender: Keeps peace in the home Rose petals: Encourages deep familial ties and romantic/ kemantic love and agreement with partners/ spouses. Sugar: A tiny bit (because ants are like ewww) encourages sweetness in your home. Don’t use all at the same time. No one size fits all blend, so sweep with a specific purpose. Switch up the purpose daily or bi weekly if you have some specific intents that cover multiple areas. Please keep your intentions pure because no sweep mix can sweep away bad intentions and energy within if it’s already there and rooted in discontent and confusion. For example: you can’t steal or cover and expect a floor sweep to protect you from the responsibility of answering for your actions, it doesn’t work like that. Nana also said “The sword can cut on both sides”... meaning it can also cut you... remember that. Iba'ase' Nana, my beloved maternal grandmother Mary Emma Perrin Hurd, 1925-1990.
