Ann spent the day here. she saw a mouse this morning.

I baked a pumpkin pie, cleaned off farm porch, worked on Lizzie Borden barbies, took a chair nap.

mowed at farm. got to see Izzy's throw rug that she made for her room out of a big piece of paper from school, and stripes of crayon. it is really cute and she is justifiably proud of it.

cleaned out deer stand and braced it up. had settled a bit over the years.

a perfect day.....

started making a book about myself on Plucky Books...

then to West Des Moines to Spirit Halloween and lunch at Texas Road House, then a quick trip to Indianola Hy-Vee where I found the Scooby Doo cookies....and when we got home, Kevin rented The End of Oak Street with my Prime credits....(oh. and he bought the tv of his dreams at Best Buy, which will be delivered and set up on October 27, the good Lord willing and the river don't rise.)

did odds & ends today, some crafty things...wrapped some gifts....thought about gifts I need to buy....

finished putting lights on the windmill...put away some things...started putting mulch in new flowerbed, Kevin came home and finished it. watched 2 Bigfoot movies. started a new ghost book.

did some crafty bitch stuff today....

a googly eye and Halloween sticker trinket box....a goth knock off Cabbage Patch doll....a ghost sign...a sign for Hollis the Scarecrow (who finally has a name after all these years: I watched a thing on YouTube that freaked me royally out, I never read the "this is a fictional story" disclaimer at the beginning, and I am SO gullible)...this years Thrifted Halloween Artwork: 2 painted on glass ghosts, Halloween stickers, googly eyes...Kevin mowed yard that I really didn't think needed mowed, so I weed eated, which I didn't do last time he mowed, and the yard DID need mowed and weed-eated....and finished the Haunted Life book I started the other day. and found time in ALL this to watch a couple of Bigfoot movies. look at me multitask. I. am. a. Domestic. Goddess.

ordered 2 new white 11x14 frames....one for new baby. one for Cora's that broke. wasn't paying attention, after I'd clicked order I realized I'd used Katie's gift card balance. (eye roll).

took car in for recall. shopped at a thrift store, then I was peopled out.

visited Mel for a few. she gifted me a Bigfoot quilt panel. booked ghost hunts at Peoria State Hospital (Nov) and Garnder House in Palmyra in October, plus hotels.

today I FINALLY....

1. went to bank, deposited a farm rent check, put passports back in lock box.

2. hung solar lights on windmill. but I didn't get enough. so ordered another set.

3. bought the shit I was out of LAST WEEK at Dollar General.

4. finished watching the Squatch movie I found yesterday 2 seconds before Izzy came over. it was too scary for her, so I saved it. it was more perplexing for me. good Squatch costume. quite believable.

5. maybe I've won the battle with the upstairs toilet? done messing around. jeez. seriously. enough already. life is too short.

and 6. baby quilt front is pieced together. measured. ordered a pastel quilted cartoon bunny panel for back. now to press quilt top and see if I have bright pink to zigzag around all the blocks....
