I have heard the current jail administrator resigned. The Sheriff has taken down the Facebook page. can't afford to comply with Sunshine Law requirements. jail is understaffed. the same prisoner has escaped....twice. no funding to fix jail OR to farm out inmates to other counties. definitely not to build a new facility. my next job, I always said, would be as Mercer County dispatcher. I have noticed they haven't been advertising lately and there used to always be an opening. don't think they can pay them. so, guess that's one job I won't get, unless I drive to another county, or volunteer....(sigh.)
