Barbie is marking a new first in the doll's 64-year history.

In addition to the Barbie Fashionista doll with Down syndrome, other new dolls to be released this year include a Fashionista doll wearing braces and a Ken Fashionista doll with a prosthetic leg, according to Mattel. The new Barbie with Down syndrome is available online now. It will be available in retail stores this summer and fall, according to Mattel.

note to self: for future reference, have hidden Zerelda's birthday stuff in back of our closet. it's kinda obvious what they are and she's the grandkid who might be here to stumble onto them in garage....

also did some sorting and digging through the treasures I've stashed in the trunk...Relda's bear needs a patch. and ordered her a few more things to go with what I have. she probably needs a book of some kind. they all will. and a journal or notebook. the countdown is on for Z. next month. have more time on the other girls. but it sneaks up on you. have 1 gift for Izzy so far. 2 for Millie. quite a few for Violet. and some small stuff for Ian. have Katie and Braydens. not sure what I'll do to go with $ this year...kinda bored with the books. have one duplicate toy that will be a Christmas Toys for Tots.

Going to a dance with her dad. Man she’s grown up to fast 😢

Relda went to a daddy daughter dance today. Kevin, Katie, & I hung out with the Olathe grandkids while Mommy & Daddy were at work. there was playtime and snuggles. Ian has saved a turtle and the kids saved a butterfly from hail.

also, a very nice Verizon guy figured out the data overage problem (me) and replaced 2 phones, got us unlimited data, and knocked A BUNCH OF $$$$ OFF OUR MONTHLY BILL! made for a late day, but gave us a chance to take the kids out for supper and David came over to take Rip out, so all's well that ends well. hopefully soon we'll get the doggy door and back porch and fence in so Rip can take himself out when we're gone. which seems to be A. Lot.
