bills, supper, helped katie study for history test....

trying to pack for our anniversary weekend....still can't find my 2 missing 'fancy' bras.....have double checked every dresser drawer. oh, well. now sitting here inhaling super blonde hair dye that I am leaving on for 45 minutes although it's only been 16 and my head is burning and I am slightly woozy....hopefully it won't be a disaster. also need to shave my legs and pack razor. I packed the Chiefs tickets, which were the most important thing....I just hope I can come straight home from work and switch into relaxation mode instead of my normal exhaustion mode....

the baby shower.....

last nite Katie & I discussed what we need to do....she thinks the block game is ok (buy stuff to put on blocks!), found a guessing game and printed off....ordered stuff from her registry for shower gifts....she thinks we should put ads in papers....

cleaned floors, made supper, had enough energy left to read the kindle in bed for a bit....

watched the premiere of American Horror Story Coven on Katie's bed.....

I didn't realize it was filmed in New Orleans.....and featured the LaLaurie Mansion and Marie Laveau....I am entranced! I miss the magic of the French Quarter....I am not quirky or interesting or enterprising enough to live there....but I will daydream about it forever.....

today is the 28th anniversary of our oldest childs birth....

last nite Katie & I spent a quiet evening at home and went to bed early. It was bliss.

today was my day off, so took her to school, came home and scrapbooked for hours on end while catching up on my list stuff....then cleaned out my scrapbook box. then picked up Katie at school, calling for her to meet me outside as she requested since I embarrass her stumbling about school looking lost and confused.....then took her to dr. office to consult with Sally....she is going on birth control pills for her irregular periods and cramps and related migranes. Kevin is not pleased with this parenting decision. they no longer require a pap smear for young teenage girls.

Katie says dance practice is going well.

and in other news, Mercer's favorite couple wed today.....Stacy and the lawnmower man. (I think his name is Dean.) I didn't get a good pic of the decorated lawnmower, but another citizen did...and I would share, but when I went back to facebook to borrow them, they had disappeared....

no nightmares about nondescript muddy looking station wagons sitting at abandoned rest stops.....

so got away with reading Joe Hill in a quiet dark vehicle on a quiet dark street once again....but I know someday my luck will run out! Katie had fun at the movies with Chase. She wants to go to Halloween Haunt again....only "available time" is a weekend I work...which would be exhausting....but will probably end up sleeping in car in parking lot there, too.....and I guess I can catch up on my sleep when I'm dead (or unemployed).

Blizzards out west....Tropical Storms in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida.....and it's hoody weather here in Missouri....

last nite Katie went to football game, I cleaned floors. she cleaned house today and Chase came over for first time. dizzy and nausea this morning, but off to work I went. I am an idiot.

did the old drop off at Danielle's bonfire....Brittany went with them. she'll call me when it's time to come get them....Chase must be home by midnight. I like that boy! it's nice hearing a deep voice from the end of the hall again....kind of like KJ is home....got Morgan confirmed to pet sit next weekend.

woke up once and 'reset alarm' which meant I actually reset the time....then woke up again convinced I was late....

had to turn on light to figure out what button to push....but all is now well, and I am up a bit earlier than I intended....seriously need an idiot proof alarm clock. It is amazing that I have gotten to work relatively on time all these years, between my primitive alarm setting skills and my general unwillingness to leave the house....

I hear thunder and rain.....even more reason to just stay home. but so many important job things to do and I guess it won't kill me to work a full week....(sigh)

Kevin had therapy and ordered new liscence plates? I left the moon roof open last nite, truck was soaked this morning, I got soaked walking risers, my clothes were still wet after work, so came home and jammied up. Katie & I just hung out at home watching Dr Phil and Catfish. bills (no stamps....forgot to buy them.....don't have a credit card to order online....), ventured down to basement to do some laundry....the basement laundry room was my brilliant idea....Kevin tried to talk me out of it....(sigh), got Daisy's Frontline done, so now they've all had their October dose.

who else has opened their MBMO insurance package? "Is your spouse eligible for their employers medical plan Yes or No, if Yes, your spouse is REQUIRED to enroll in their employers health plan as their primary medical coverage...." Am I not paying ENOUGH for insurance as it is...now he needs a separate policy, as well? this open enrollment meeting should be a real joy......
