today I mowed our yard. hot enough today I wore my first shorts of summer. got all my to-do list done but @!#$%^&*()_+ post office, which I always seem to hit at lunch time, although it is WELL AFTER the time posted on wall.....

guess there's always tomorrow. found my slippers for lodge. and 1 pom pom for Z. Kevin suggested Blue Zoo in Des Moines for a Z/Grams activity. hoping to do our hotel stay the next week she's home...if my new debit card arrives. it's always something, isn't it? gas tank is OFFICIALLY installed in truck.

got my 2 permanent crowns. hung out with girls a bit. played baseball and read with Zerelda.

no pictures, just living in the moment. trying to do more of that.

today I visited the girls and we hung the letters spelling out their names on their doors. I spray painted them cotton candy pink.

made a flying trip to Chillicothe to buy a new washer for trailer. Kevin and KJ installed.

patched up and reinforced the ol' denim quilt, then gave her a wash and dry. I am proud of this quilt. it was my first attempt at a denim quilt. Koren was still living at home.

I had to wait for a bonus check to buy the red plain flannel I wanted for backing. some of the denim is rotten. ditto the flannel. Daisy & Sasha chewed some of the patches. I have my suspicisons Rip is, as well. the pattern was one Martha had shown me in a magazine. it is definitely a one-of-a-kind. a deb original.

finished The Vow. finished the Glacier book. we say we'll go when we retire and can take as long as we want, to really see the sights. we'll have to get passports. so we can say we've been to Canada. I want to ride one of the Glacier Reds. it'd be late summer, The Going To The Sun Road opens in June.

Sunday: fed Meggie and watered the girls flowers. grocery shopping. Hy-Vee was crowded. cleaned out junk drawer. took chair nap. scrubbed out washer.

and what I'm reading....another Glacier book. cause it's on our bucketlist. And we made it to Yellowstone! sometimes it takes us awhile. but we have dreams.

adding DG treasures to the girls' garden.....sold 2 loads of scrap and Kevin cashed his fistful of checks. started in barn scrapping. hot and muggy. finished watching McBee Dynasty

new project. drug 6 old sheets out of fabric totes. wash sheets. shred sheets. roll into balls. buy crochet hook. remember how to crochet. make rag rug! a work in progress ....(it is fun making fabric balls but man, do my wrists and right shoulder ache!

and started watching Vow...so by the time I went to bed about 12:30 a.m., this is where I was at....I had intended to help Kevin today, but set my alarm for p.m. instead of a.m., was having a nightmare about losing Ian and then myself on Family Vacation...and this is the second recent time I've been left behind. is he TRYING to wake me up? or grateful that I won't "help" him again????

oh. now he wants his waerbottle. so, time to get dressed and go save the day. hey. honestly. it's what I do.
