last night Kevin didn't stop in and visit me at work since he went straight from working all day to DM to uber someone home. Zerelda & mommy were in, and Katie on her way back to the Wild Wild West of Nebraska.

Martha is sick so got called into kitchen today. I have all next week off. I have all next week off. I have all next week off. and someone who is ill shouldn't be cooking. that's a given. next week I can "go on a drive" and make some zombie flies. 'cause seriously all I was gonna do today was read Desperation. today Kevin took another day off work to uber someone to DM. (& of course he will on his next 2 days off.) he can't go see his father in the hospital with the one visitor a day rule. because someone else is. someone who hasn't known him nearly as long. but does have the legal right as 'family.' he's ok with it. I'm not. we all know I'm not a good Christian. I just hope he has whatever final things he wants done in writing somewhere whre there right person will find it. so he gets what he wants. but when you're dead I guess it really doesn't matter. (or does it? ghosts.) and that southern cousin is suing that far east aunt over the damn estate. kind of an anti-climax after harrassing that midwestern uncle dying of cancer. what a family. I bet Marie is real proud. they're still fighting for scraps. I don't see the point of the money. no will is iron clad. and people are petty. petty and selfish.

our girl came home for a very sad reason. Kevin spent the day in D.M. he took Donna up to visit his dad in hospital. of course, 1 visitor per day, so he just hung out in truck. he'll pick her up tomorrow after work. Lije has surgery scheduled tomorrow afternoon. I survived my first solo register shift (including closing.) had several situations, but luckily a fellow employee was in the store when I needed something....or a customer could guide me. had to call the boss while I closed, couldn't get reports to print...cause I'd put the new printer paper roll in upside down. she talked me through it. (she may be removing me from schedule....) then I couldn't get door unlocked to leave. yeah. I'm new. luckily I don't have a lot of register shifts scheduled. Mercer can rest easy and just avoid the gas station a night or two a month...maybe I really should hole up in my basement making zombie dolls. I am quite proud of them. they are just too cute.
