Beulah, Iowa is no more, it was lost in a flood that killed 19.

these are the spirits in Spook Cave, we are told. that strange murmurings, etc. were heard. that is why the original guy dug out the cave. I love a good ghost story. and the name Beulah.

a Wisconsin Dairy Farm....my Dad would've loved seeing this. Kevin and I are farm kids, checking out barns, crops, looking at cows....

we got home last night from a fantabulous trip.....

National Mississippi River Museum. Shot Tower Inn. fudge. divinity. flooding. beautiful old barns. amazing sky. IHOP (quit trying the colored whip cream on hot chocolate, deb. you don't like it.) murals. Paul Bunyan's Cook Shanty. road work. flooding. ghost signs. Blackberry Smoke. Toto.

2 hotels. a historic Victorian B&B. stuff for him. for me. for us. had a good time. there was a sketchy moment in our last hotel when we both woke up to a sound on the first night there and thought someone was breaking in. Kevin pulled his gun. all was well. think it was the person next to us opening their door. a very quiet place. we learned we have accents. (who knew?) we were caught in a downpour in downtown Wisconsin Dells.
