just got home from 4 days of babysitting grandkids....you forget how much work it is. it is constantly meal time or someone is sad or needs their butt changed or wiped or bubbles opened or help finding something....but I know about The Jelly Monster and that Ian's favorite colors are orange and blue and green...and Cora's are pink and purple...and that little Miss Violet will not be pushed around or left out. Papa sent me home to work tomorrow and it seems all the chaos left with Gramma. funny how that seems to work. tons of pics to post. I love these kids so much. yeah, we raised three of our own...but they were further apart in age, and they were ours, so it didn't seem like we could screw them up and we had our own rules. it was loud and chaotic and sweet and funny and heartbreaking at times....this brings back so many memories.

we went for the ducks.....I like to fashion myself as a ghost hunter, but I don't seem to be very perceptive of possible spirits....

The Peabody Hotel is well known in the area for the Peabody Ducks that live on the rooftop and visit the lobby daily. The peabody hotel is also known for being haunted by a ghost that likes to wander around the Eleventh floor of the hotel. This ghost like to whisper as he walks through the hotel and guests have also noticed cold spots and strange noises all coming from the eleventh floor.

this was on the Haunted Memphis Walking Tour but we didn't get to go inside....

The Orpheum Theatre in Memphis is said to be haunted by the spirit of a little girl named Mary who died in some kind of accident on a nearby street. She has been hanging around in the theatre for about sixty years now even although the original building burned down in 1923 and reopened in 1928. She is often seen in her favourite seat – C5 and sometimes she is heard giggling while running up and down the aisles.
