"Once upon a time, two teenagers had fallen for each other, and hard, as only teenagers can."
Revival a novel by Stephen King. not only did I get to see my favoritest author ever in the flesh....he played guitar and spoke to me. yeah, I know there were a whole bunch of other people there who had paid their $30 and I was in the very back of the building...but
he has always spoke to me in his books....like he really does get me. and, here is the biggest thing that ever happened in my life....right there on page 338. falling in love in high school, which led to marriage, 3 kids, and a grandson. and happiness.
in search of the perfect Homecoming dress..
first stop was to visit Ian & Koren....then to the mall. new bras at Victoria's Secret....then only took 2 stores and some massive trying on to find The Dress, but can't post a picture till the dance. I will say, it is perfection. It was similar to the dress a friend showed Kate that she wanted, so they had to text back and forth to assure no hard feelings if Katie bought it. she has a good heart. somedays it is harder to see than others... Koren treated us to Gloria Jeans Coffee (I had hot white chocolate and Ian & I shared a chocolate scone!), then we took the Wills out to supper at 54th Street. Thank God for Koren. I dread shopping days. I am usually just not in the mood. and Katie looks good in everything, so it is hard for her to make a decision. This shopping trip went well and for that, I am grateful.

according to a facebook quiz that I took on this, the first day of my all-too-brief weekend off, I was a warrior in a past life. ok.
guess that explains why I now spend my days battling swine and laundry and deadlines and my nights battling the barking weiner dogs who don't want me to sleep....p

A Winter Poem: Shit, It's Cold! The End
work musta been a bitch.....kids left to go out and do their thing, I crashed on couch watching Finding Bigfoot and slept thru all of Kevin's texts on his break. did bills. started dishwasher. thinking seriously about just going to bed....saw on facebook where my sister found a job. God Help Her. of course, I've never had a job I liked. esp. today when it was seriously cold in group housing barn cause the damn fan louver blew loose again...THEN the hot water heater doesn't work so had to take a cold shower, then ride in KJ's cold truck on the way home, and go out in the cold backyard to do chores....plus the whole pig wrangling thing all the live long day. countin' the days till I meet my maker. about got my clock cleaned again today. that used to be a rare thing, now it's about every day.
