the wind is howling viciously outside....

supper is done, hours of tv watching and the tiniest bit of laundry folding under my belt....now jammied up & katie is sketching, while I watch some more A Haunting...., bills will just have to wait till tomorrow, 'cause I feel an early bedtime comin' on tonite!

my glorious day off is over, so back to the coal mines....

reading comments on an Alaska Bush People facebook page....

and find out that the dad wrote a book....so did a search....it is on amazon.com. 10 used paperbacks available...starting at $59.97. there was a couple of others at higher prices, one was like $125. I just don't care enough to spend that kind of money...published 2007. and one of the comments was that they traveled the world promoting their dad's book...which is obviously out of print. even if they owned the few copies for sale on amazon....not worth the cost and trouble of traveling the world to promote it.
"A true adventure of how a scared boy, orphaned at sixteen, grew to be a dad and husband of character as he fought to survive in the wilderness of Alaska, while running from the emptiness left by his childhood loss."

and deb has found a new series to watch....and a new vacation destination: Hardy, Arkansas!

if we ever renew our vows, I want this homesteading, range riding officiate in Alaska!

I would quite honestly love to meet the whole Kilcher clan!
making lunch, watched a Sister Wives, got Katie's framed art hung, cleaned off top of entertainment center, swept LR, moved DR table back to right spot, folded 3 loads of laundry. whew! and still in my jammies....which I will be until I shower and put on clean jammies....'cause the outside dogs don't care if I feed them in my jammies! they love me just the way I am!

a smile is the best makeup any girl can wear...

I am a pretty drab dressed all in gray kind of gal....but the sparkly silver tinsel wig a dame was dancing in at a NOLA 12th Night Celebration had me thinking...I could SO do that!

last night Schwann's guy caught me before I left for game, mom was at the game saving my seat....we got to see a very polished and professional Glimmer Girls dance, ordered GS cookies from Miss Maddi, got KJ's truck 'stuck' on the hill behind bus barn and had to shift into 4wd, tried my blackberry brandy which tastes like cough syrup (note to self: now have a lifetime supply of cough syrup in the house...) and framed Katie's museum quality artwork in the frames I ordered.
today was sleep till I woke up Wednesday, since school was cancelled due to projected wind chills (2 hour delay tomorrow.) would've made it later if I had a stronger bladder and a quieter weiner dog, but still woke up feeling mighty refreshed and majorly relieved I didn't have to go to THAT PLACE today. I have crossed things off my list: ordered football helmet and football display cases, and started laundry soap last night.
