Reasons to Never Leave New Orleans....(I just picked out my favorites!)

Because our streets look like this.
And our houses look like this.
And this.
Because St. Charles is one of the most beautiful streets in the world.
Because a walk or run through Audubon Park solves all. (note to self: do this if I ever get to go back!!!)
And then top it all off with this.
If food isn't your thing, you've come to the wrong city. Just kidding. Kind of. But you can check out our live music scene here.
) And again. Sorry, but your Mardi Gras-themed parties don't have anything on this.
Because there's always a reason to celebrate.
Because you can meet an alligator.
Or take a tour of the city's haunted history.
>Because open container laws are not a thing.
Because you can't find Abita outside of Louisiana. (for the hubby)
Because drinking on patios or listening to dueling pianos is more fun. (and reading in courtyards with your pigeon friends!
Because you know what it means to miss New Orleans.
Because no matter where you go, this city becomes a part of you (true dat.)

Life Down A Limerock Road

I love their postings on facebook! and here's why!
"The soil is the great connector of lives, the source and destination of all. It is the healer and restorer and resurrector, by which disease passes into health, age into youth, death into life."
simply beautiful!

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....ooops. I see Joseph's head has fallen off again...these guys have had a rough life! collected them one at a time from Avon years and years ago...

Mr. Dailey hangs with former students at the ballgame....

and Katie's biggest fan Grandma Janet came to watch her dance!
Koren & Katie & Taylore aren't going to KJ's college graduation, so offered the 3 extra tickets to Lije, Marie, and Lije's wife. Mom will ride with us. I am so excited for this day. I wanted it to be a family day, but with the kids so strung out and busy, it just doesn't work sometimes....(sigh)

what I always wanted to get in the elementary classroom gift exchange.....

here I am, 50 years old, hanging out on the computer before I go to work....

same old, same old. the other night Kevin was online looking at package all-inclusive deals for Cabo San Lucas (something like that, in Mexico.) what a crazy, fun idea! Katie got her Grandpa Lije fruit order (and the 5 generation pictures) delivered last night. he is selling all the cows. so, soon my husband won't have any cows to work, so hopefully no more broken noses and ankles.
