The 3rd Annual Community Tree Lighting and Santa’s visit

@ 8:40, the truck was back. just pulled into driveway, sat a bit, backed out. no honking. no tire squealing. looked dark colored, with a chrome strip. extended cab, I think.

Katie thinks someone is banging on the door, then jumping off the porch to the left and running, so you can't see them when you open door. and I didn't step out on porch, just looked outside. so, took dogs out potty, and walked over there.....pretty deep footprints all along the side of the house, deepest by the porch, like someone jumped off. she is a smart gal. will have to look again tomorrow when there is daylight. but I think we have solved the mystery.....still not being haunted. guess that's good.

kind of freakin' out here....

went uptown for the Mercer Christmas, some brave choir kids including my daughter sang carols before Santa arrived (have pictures, but left my camera in the vehicle Katie drove to Kale's..). so I am hanging out alone in the dark with the Xmas lights on, watching The Haunting of Billy Ray Cyrus about why he is so attracted to the Rippaville Plantation in Tennessee....and there are 2 loud knocks on the door. I go straight to door, no one there. no vehicle in driveway. then I remember that the same thing happened last night while Katie was decorating the tree and I was getting ready for bed, she screamed and was terrified, so I locked the doors. I figured the wind was blowing, a tree branch hit the roof or something. so, it happens again tonight, just about straight up 8:00. just get settled back on couch, see a truck coming down the road. it pulls in the driveway, blares the horn for a minute or so, then peels out and hells it back up the road. I am going to guess Katie's not-so-secret-admirer/former boyfriend. or it could be a haunting. but it is kinda scary. Katie just called to check in on her date, she forgot to call me when she got there. I couldn't call her because I don't know her new # and it's on my phone that KJ has in KC. well, back to Mr. Cyrus.

Clark, you're not coming all the way out here just to get one of those stupid ties with Santa Clauses on it?

had a wonderful time watching my talented daughter singing in choir! KJ off to the city. with my phone since his has quit. Katie dyed my hair. then we watched Freak Show & she started decorating the tree.

tonite's never-before-seen dvd was the remake of Red Dawn

I'm not a fan of remakes....the only one I've ever thought was better than the original was True Grit....but I feel compelled to check them out...don't want to miss anything....then read more of the book written about Missouri accused female serial killer Bertha Gifford by her great granddaughter.

came home from work in a good mood and put up the tree.

Miss Kate stayed home with a migraine today. she will decorate it later. I put a few things on that I am sure she will rearrange or remove with her good decorating taste in mind. ordered Pizza Plus. now on to bills.....
