Christmas in NOLA? putting that on my bucket list! back to work. thanksgiving leftovers for supper. a team effort got the monumental went away for the weekend laundry caught up....and the weenies are home!

had a fun filled family weekend....Koren, Cody, & Ian threw a family Thanksgiving Dinner with the works at their house on Saturday, attended by us 4, my mom, and brother John...Kate spent the nite with them, us other 3 stayed in a hotel. Kevin hung his jersey in the window! Chiefs vs. Seahawks Sunday....coldest game we ever went to....V I C T O R Y ! and saw Cam from Modern Family ride by on a golf cart....practiced my Bigfoot calls every time they told us to "make some noise!"

granted, it's only 7:25a.m. and 39 degrees on Bourbon Street, but the view from the earth cam street cam is pretty dead.....

the few pedestrians are bundled up, street looks wet. a few cars. today is our big Thanksgiving at our daughter's house, made entirely by our daughter. what a blessing she is! so, I am up, dosing my sinus headache (forgot to take pills before I went to bed.....DUMBASS!) will do the few chores, let them all sleep in till 8ish. not sure if The Bubs is packed. and I know Kevin got home from work late. so I'll probably drive. going to be a cold one at the Chiefs game tomorrow....our last tickets of the season. bring on the $4 hot cocoa~

this was an amazing experience that I got to share with my oldest daughter Koren and my 11 month old grandson Ian, who was perfectly well-behaved. he talked, he read an excerpt of his new book, he played guitar, answered questions with the book store person who sat on stage with him. our books weren't randomly autographed, but it was just perfect. didn't even matter!

continued cold weather. watched my getting more nervous by the minute daughter take the bull by the horns and GET HER DRIVERS LICENSE! bought stamps. refilled Rx for Kevin & Kate. read. watched tv. will sometime shower in my own bathroom (this is my fave thing about days off, I think...something I'm sure other people who rarely get to shower at home (or privately, even!) understand. it's American Horror Story: Freak Show nite. Taylore is over hanging with The Bubster. life is good. life is good.

the littlest K has her drivers license...

she has been waiting a long time to get in the drivers seat! got to take test with her bestie Brittany, then Julie & I took them to lunch before they went back to school~
