I'm just your average grandma who believes in Bigfoot and ghosts and is fascinated by serial killers....

the fierce wind last nite helped the weiner dogs escape their outside kennel.
it was uber cold this morning, found them loose, let them in the house. they are happy. other family members: not so much. so far, so good. KJ & Taylore went out on an all-dressed-up date. for some reason, blog won't let me post pictures... and I do so love to post pictures on my blog! had a disturbing dream about my dad last nite...he was here, like that damn show Kevin watches about "The Returned"....he wouldn't talk, and was going around in his tidy whiteys...and honestly, I don't know if my dad wore tighty whiteys or boxers or what...he was solemnly farming. indoors, outdoors. and Uncle Bob was there, as well. doing carpentry stuff. and we were all just watching them. Resurrection. maybe that's what the show is called.
okey dokey. got on here from Google Chrome to see if that would work. I am so damnable clever. and it mo-fo worked. like a boss.

Johnny Depp saw a ghost here....
The Mackay Mansion was built in 1859 by a young mine superintendent named George Hearst, intending it to be both his residence and the location of a mining office. George Hearst made his fortune here in the mines, with just a 400 dollar investment in the rich Comstock mines. After making several million dollars, Hearst took the money, left Virginia City and made other investments in California, South Dakota, and Utah, securing a huge fortune. The second owner was Irish-born, John Mackay, who came to Virginia City, starting as a miner. He used his training, learned in his youth, to construct mine shafts, and was paid in mine stock. In the 1870s, he became wealthy, and purchased the former Hearst Mansion, now known as the Mackay Mansion. His partner, Mr. James Fair, also had a bedroom at the mansion. When Johnny Depp stayed at the mansion while filming Dead Man, a little girl dressed in all-white paid him a visit. Others have heard her playing in one of the upstairs rooms, and have spotted both a colonel sitting in the kitchen, and a woman making endless rushed trips up and down the stairs. The Mackay Mansion has appeared on Ghost Adventures and Dead Files.
