piddlefart.

this word popped into my head at work today.....it was a verb in my dad's vocabulary, as in "You girls quit piddlefartin' around."

CBS commentator, Andy Rooney on women over 40: "As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why: A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize.

to work early, to leave early, to go to family dentist appt....

Katie gets to go to wearing her retainer nights only, I had NO CAVATIES...Kevin had cavaties and needs a crown....

bought new fridge filters.....forgot my note with #s.....and we got one wrong filter. (sigh). flea stuff arrived, got dogs dosed. dog stuff at Orshelins. supper El Napol. Hy-Vee. home where Kevin showed his guns to Katie, she is wanting to go deer hunting with him.

KJ is doing his 'week out' at a KC high school, so he is bunking with his big sister and hanging out with Josh & Val in his spare time. called him for a sec on our way home. our little boy is growing up....

Sunday was no different. The Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) continued to defy the odds, beating the Buffalo Bills (3-6) 23-13 to remain as the NFL's only undefeated team.

sunday nite....

stayed home. watched Nightmare Before Christmas, then gave ourselves the heebie jeebies watching Villica Living With a Mystery... THEN I journeyed to the basement to do some laundry. freaked myself out. a cold wicked wind is blowing....and ordered different flea medicine. Daisy is infested....doped her twice last month, picking fleas off her constantly, spraying the furniture and the house....enough. also got some stuff for her coat...she has chewed off all the fur she can get to. and a flea trap with refills. enough is enough.

set up a GS Let's Be Thankful & Bake a Pie meeting for Sunday nite. will see if Chase can go shopping with us Sat....she wants $ for the mall for her birthday. We always did that for Koren in high school....
